Overview

All NeoResus program participants are asked to complete an online multiple choice quiz to test their understanding of the key concepts of newborn resuscitation.

Is the quiz compulsory?

Successful completion of an online quiz is a prerequisite for attending both the First Response and the Advanced Resuscitation practical training programs.

How many questions are there in a quiz?

Each NeoResus quiz comprises 20 multiple-choice questions and you will have unlimited time to complete the quiz. Most people find they are able to complete the quiz in less than 15 minutes.

Is there a minimum pass mark?

Yes. A 100% pass rate is required for successful completion of each quiz.

What if I don’t achieve 100%?

If you do not achieve 100% on your first attempt, you will have the opportunity to review the web based learning materials and then undertake the quiz again.

The correct and incorrect responses and your overall score are displayed with every attempt, so you can easily identify areas you need to review.

There is no limit to the number of times you can undertake the quiz.

Which quiz should I complete?

Each NeoResus program has different requirements.

First Response:

You will need to complete the First Response Quiz at least 24 hours before attending the face-to-face training session.

Advanced Resuscitation:

You will need to complete the Advanced Resuscitation Pre-Quiz at least 24 hours before attending the face-to-face training day.

Following the face-to-face training day, you will need to complete the Advanced Resuscitation Post-Quiz within a week of your program.

Facilitator Workshop:

You will need to complete three quizzes prior to attending the Facilitator Workshop: First Response, Advanced Resuscitation Pre-Quiz and Advanced Resuscitation Post-Quiz.

How do I access the NeoResus quiz for my program?

You need to have been accepted into a NeoResus training program before you can access the online quiz. Your program coordinator will direct you to the access  point for your organisation. This differs from State to State in Australia.
